Rising star Christian Kirk is a professional American football player who serves as a wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He was selected by the Cardinals as the 47th overall selection of the NFL draft in 2018. Born Christian Davon Kirk to African American parents – Evan Kirk and his footballer wife Melissa Kirk came into this world on November 18, 1996 in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. He is of American nationality and belongs to a mixed ethnicity. As he was growing up Kirk went to Saguaro High School in Scottsdale where he started his football career. Playing for his Saguaro football team, Kirk made waves as a wide receiver while running.

Kirk chose Texas A&M University over his home in Arizona State and others for his college career. During his college career, he racked up over 3,000 all-purpose yards as a senior and 2,000 yards in his freshman year. After graduation, Kirk was among the top candidates in his college class. It received five stars from Scout.com and Rivals.com. Additionally, it also earned four stars from ESPN and 247Sports

Joining the Texas team in 2015, Kirk didn’t take long to make an impact on the team. He played under coach Kevin Sumlin at Texas; he had 6 receptions, a touchdown and 79 return yards in his first game with the Aggies. He finished his freshman year with 80 receptions, eight touchdowns, 1,009 receiving yards and 13 games. As a result of his brilliant performance, Christian Kirk won the SEC Student of the Year award.

In his sophomore year in 2016, Kirk starred in 13 matches. He led the Conference with a total of nine touchdowns, 83 receptions and 928 receiving yards. At the end of the season, he was named to the All-SEC First Team for his stellar performance. The following year, he earned first-team All-SEC honors with recording 10 touchdowns, 71 receptions, 919 receiving yards, and 10 punt returns for 191 yards. Kirk announced he would forfeit his senior year as he declared for the 2018 NFL Draft.

Christian Kirk took part in the 2018 NFL drafting combine drills where he put in a great performance. He completed the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds, the 20-yard shuttle in 4.45, and the 60-yard shuttle in 12.03 seconds. He also completed the 3-cone drill in 7.09 seconds and was projected as a second-round pick in the draft. Later, he was chosen by the Arizona Cardinals as the 47th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
