
UPDATE: Police confirm with Local 4 News that a fight began inside the Applebee’s around 8:45 p.m. before the altercation eventually moved to the parking lot.
The did find a knife at the scene, but injuries are still unknown.
EARLIER: Police were unable to locate a stabbing victim in connection with an altercation Saturday evening in the parking lot of Applebee’s Grill + Bar in Davenport.
According to scanner traffic, the incident stemmed from a large fight that occurred about 8:45 p.m. Police said the disturbance began inside and involved some people throwing cups, then transitioned to the parking lot at the location near the 3800 block of Elmore Avenue.
When Local 4 News arrived first on the scene, the parking lot was taped off. The restaurant appeared to be closed as Davenport’s Crime Scene Unit began their investigation.
Officers discovered blood on a vehicle and a knife on either side of it, police said. Although police checked Quad-City hospitals, no victim was located.
Local 4’s Ryan Risky spotted blood on the doors of a silver sedan. The rear tire of the right side of the vehicle appeared to be slashed and was eventually taken away by a tow truck.
There is no word yet on how many people were involved or injured.
